Open Game Content

The Echelon game system is intended to be as open and free for use as possible.  As such, any text describing rules, game structure, or other game mechanical consideration is designated Open Game Content.

Designation of Product Identity

The following items are hereby designated as Product Identity in accordance with section 1(e) of the Open Game License 1.0a:

  • Any and all Echelon d20 and Echelon Framework logos and identifying marks and trade dress, including by not limited to ‘Echelon d20’ and ‘Echelon Framework’ and titles including these names.
  • ‘Spoilers’ associated with specific entries on this site.  The rules presented are Open Game Content, these supplemental materials are not.

There isn’t much else; anything ‘campaign specific’ and ‘fictional’ (rather than reference, such as the Echelon Framework) is expected to be hosted elsewhere and (potentially) published separately.

Designation of Open Content

Subject to the Product Identity designation above, all portions of Echelon d20 and Echelon Framework are designated Open Game Content.

Personal comments and discussions held on this site (such as responses to articles and the Echelon documentation) belong to the people who write them.

Use of Material as Open Game Content

It is the clear and expressed intent of Keith Davies to add all mechanics and game structural material to the canon of Open Game Content for free use pursuant to the Open Game License by future Open Game publishers.

Some of the portions of this site which are delineated as OGC originate from the System Reference Document and are copyright 1999, 2000 Wizards of the Coast, Inc.  The remainder of these OGC portions of this book are hereby added to the Open Game Content and if so used, must bear the COPYRIGHT NOTICE: “Echelon Framework Copyright 2011, Keith Davies”.

The mention of or reference to any company or product in these pages is not a challenge to their trademark or copyright concerned.
